UNIT 002: TEAMWORK

Last updated: January 20, 2026

Teams don’t just appear fully formed. They grow and evolve, going through predictable stages of development. Understanding this pattern helps you navigate the inevitable ups and downs of collaboration. In the 1960s, psychologist Bruce Tuckman created a simple model to describe this process.

He called it Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing. Later, he added a fifth stage: Adjourning.
